Yesterday was the super duper lucky 11/11/11. Well, it was lucky for everyone else. Eva spent the whole day vomiting everywhere. She’s better today, but still a bit weak from being sick. I think it all started because Eva decided to eat four (4!) pieces of string cheese for dinner, then fall right to sleep. All that diary sitting in her tummy couldn’t have felt very good.

The potty thing took a pause. She had some grossness happening and I didn’t feel like cleaning up stuff from both ends of Eva. We will go back to it on Monday assuming that she is still better.

Eva Uses The Potty (+ A Playground Photo!)

Some people call it infant potty training, others call it elimination communication. And still others call it natural infant hygiene. We here at the Moses household call it what it really is. Teaching Eva that it’s better to crap in the potty than shit in her pants.

It’s very simple. Let Eva run around bare butt-ed and when she looks like she is going to go, set her skinny little behind on that potty. Eva spent all day going potty. She slept through the night last night with no diaper and at nap time with no diaper. And was dry all day. When it was time to do a number two in the potty, she almost didn’t make it, but when she did, she looked so proud of herself!

I have a chiropractor appointment tomorrow and I’m a bit nervous to do the potty thing out and about. I have cloth training pants (same thing as pull-ups without all the pesky dioxin) and I will have her in those and I will be bringing a traveling potty seat thing. Hopefully all will go well.

Halloween 2011

Halloween this year was more fun for Eva than it was last year I think. We were able to go trick or treating with our friend Diane and her two kids, Leilani and Dillon. Eva loved the walking around, but she didn’t like it when people tried to put candy in her pumpkin. Oh well. Maybe next year she will be more in to it.

When we got home, (at the super late 9pm) we gave Eva a small piece of dark chocolate. She was jumping off the walls for about two hours, then she crashed. Hard. Passed out flat on the floor.

The Internet Can Be A Scary Place.

I get asked a lot why we don’t post her full name online. I feel that there is no need to have it out there. If you know her full name, then you are close enough to me to have earned the right. I don’t think the internet needs to know it. I mean. She’s a baby. It doesn’t matter what it is.

Recently we had an issue with BabyEva and the internet. I posted a picture of her onto my Dailybooth and someone else took it and posted it on his/her account. I don’t think it was intended to be malicious, but it still really creeped me out.

Since this has happened, I’ve gone on a serious lock-down. I apologize to those who rely on us posting things online to see her, but I have to put her safety over everything. This doesn’t mean I will be cutting if all off. I just will be a lot more choosey over what I do put up. I will still post videos of exciting things that happen. I will still post pictures onto our facebook. I will still let everyone know about her current milestone.

I hope everyone is understanding of this.
